People enjoy cherry blossoms at the Japan Mint in Kita Ward, Osaka, during a preview of the mint’s grounds earlier this month. The mint announced that it collected approximately 11.97 million yen in donations for quake- and tsunami-ravaged areas during the opening of its grounds to the public for cherry-blossom viewing from April 14 to 20.
